Hi Tom.
I liked Odesa. The number 8 tram goes to the beach. Near the beach stop on the left hand side is a large diameter pipe coming out of the ground. It is a short walk to the beach. The water is shallow. On the left hand side of the path to the beach is grass and trees. Families cook food there weekends. When I was there a old man brought his goats around and he sold goat’s milk in bottles. At first I thought that the market was the center of the city. The city is above the port near the famous steps. I went from Odesa to Kremenchuk, then Kiev and back to Odesa. Just had a lonely planet book out from the library looking for a street in Odesa. Can’t find it. I liked the markets in Eastern Europe. Have a good time.
Graham
