As a fellow Englishman, I apologize for rantings of the poorly spoken and rude "working class Englishman Steve" (posting #2141) who sounds in need of both a job and life. In one posting he has found a way to insult the host country of this website and the Queen’s greatest ally with his small minded comments.

I have been to your beautiful country and kremenchuk to find them both delightful. England is a great country but also is known for ques (lines), poor dental hygene and road work as well as depends on the USA as a partner in defense. The last thing that any of my countryman should do is criticize another country for the same nor attack its traditions and culture a town while searching for a local girl take advantage of and defile.

It is my sincere hope that "Steve" would stay away from the ladies of kremenchuk and that he is unable to breed to pass along his genes or attitude to another generation. Again, my sincere apology to anyone he has offended.

while walking on a main paths in krem early this year i came across big holes everywhere where the young & old could disappear for ever in the unlit streets. this is much commen for lovely little krem
when visiting a home 1 does remove 1 shoes. the main reason for this is the paths are full of @@@@ & urine but even better?........... yep mostly spit yep big green spit everywhere..............but i a not know where this lovely green spit comes from but it sticks 2 my shoes like it lives on them!

Еще как! И что тут непонятного - разные люди разные книжки читают. Библиотеки шикарные даже в маленьких городах. Народу там всегда хватает - кто по учебе что-то ищет, кто по работе, кто просто фан имеет. А какая в школах программа по чтению! А книжные магазины! Там же очереди нехилые в кассу за книжки заплатить. А кофейни при каждом книжном магазине - народ сидит, читает.

Не, такого не может, конечно же, быть. Мы - самая читающая нация! :-))))) Как и все остальные "самый-самый" тоже только наши, ничьи больше. :-))))

А чем плох Дисней-Лэнд? Идеально соответсвует назначению. А мне, вообще, здесь детские площадки и центры развлечений нравятся - все продумано, интересно, и можно быть спокойным, что ребенок не свернет голову на горке. И приятно, что детская площадка на каждом пляже, у каждого боль-мень крупного магазина. Я, как родитель, очень довольна.

Кстати, тот же несчастный :-)) МакДональдс - вполне соответствующая конструкция, учитывая уровень ресторана :-))) Чего народ недоволен? :-))) Это ж не концертный зал.

А не знаю я. Каждому свое. И у каждого, наверное, своя цена за Америку. Только счастливым детством детей или семьей-друзьями я бы жертвовать не стала, да и не приходится.

Просто надоело здесь читать сопливые жалобы о том, как все тут хреново, а в Кремне - просто песня. Хотя многие здесь честно признаются, что Кремень дорог, потому что детство-молодость там прошла, друзья остались, добрые воспоминания, а не от потрясающего вида крюковкого вокзала. :-))) Но нет-нет, да и попадется какой-нить неудачник, у которого в другой стране не сложилось, как мечталось, вот он и винит страну, которая его гостеприимно приняла. Один тут из Израиля, помню, прямо извелся весь ненавистью в евреям, и как ему тяжко среди них жить, и какие они такие-растакие, и страна такая же. А домой не едет, не дурак. :-))) Будто держат его там, не пускают, на коленях умоляют остаться. :-))) А вернется домой - будет Кремень хаять. Есть такие кадры.

Please do let the rantings of Steve from England bother you. He is a lonely, poor and nasty guy who deserves our pity more than anger. To make my point, take a look at his earlier postings of #1145, #1156 and #1286 to get a better understanding of his bottom sucking point of view.

However I do have a question for those posting on this site. If you miss kremenchuk so very much, why do you not return to visit??? While I realize that it is difficult for many Ukrainians to leave their country, it is not that difficult for an exPat to visit unless you are living in the host country illegally and will not be able to return. For those who endlessly write how you miss kremenchuk, please consider a Kiev / Yalta / kremenchuk holiday this Summer!!!

Regarding your challange to the hosts frankly there is a lot to say:they printed your comments. Surely had you run this site, in good english manner and why not arrogance, would have not publish it in the name of good tast

After reading some of these comments , it is wonderful to see such passion and pride people have of "their" kremenchuk. Architecture alone, does not make a city. it is it’s people. I look forward to visiting your city this August. I look at the daily pictures everyday . They are great.I have been to eastren Europe once before and look forward to my return. I find the people very friendly, in spite of what is happening in "our" world today. I use an online translator to read the comments. I find it interesting how words and ideas are translated. You do not sound too much polite and respectful to 2 persons, who run this site. Though, it’s admitted by practically every visitor here that they’re doing a great job. It’s a “bad” nature to criticize the “ignorance” of other people and at the same time to show your own one by making “spelling” mistakes :-(.
As for showing “dirty pics” of life in kremenchuk… well, you’ve probably seen kremenchuk sights with the wrong person. kremenchuk is a beautiful, clean, elegant and kind town. And the “atmosphere” about the place is not what you “see”, but how you “feel” there.

А на счет показа «грязной правды» жизни в Кременчуге, ну, возможно Вам показывал Кременчуг не «тот» человек. Кременчуг – красивый, чистый, элегантный и добрый город. И «атмосфера» по поводу Ваших впечатлений создается не по тому «что Вы видите», а по тому «что Вы чувствуете».

You can always make a effort to learn the language.
I was in kremenchuk last year with very little knowledge of Russian. I had got some translation books from the libuary before I left plus I took a Lonely Planet book. The only time I spoke to anyone in English was in Odesa. Life is a two way thing. If I went to live in kremenchuk I would learn the language. It is called good manners.
